Her goldsmithing is superb and she finds the most outrageous opals I have ever seen. She has featured my work in her window for a number of years and it is an honor to show with her. We have referenced each other's work at times, and it is such a great exchange. At any hour, if you are strolling through the Old Port in Portland, Maine, you should definitely walk over. Website: Holly Hamilton Jewelry Triangle Gallery 8 Elm Street, Rockland, Maine A wonderful fine art gallery curated by artist, Susan Acres. She has a great eye and shows a combination of painting, sculpture, and fine craft. Her collection is always so compelling, and it is an outrageously modern expansive space. Make sure that after you explore the ground floor, you don't miss the upstairs gallery! It is definitely off the beaten path and this gallery along with the wonderful ocean drive and views off of Ocean point are not to be missed. Several of Maine's most notable galleries were started by these dynamic gallery owners, and finally they have created their own gallery. They have a great eye for contemporary fine craft as well as painting and sculpture and their garden deck is a lovely place to think about which pieces you will be taking home. Their focus on high quality Maine contemporary fine craft is especially exciting. It is rare to find curators who understand contemporary craft much less how to present it well. For audiences who appreciate my work and contemporary fine craft collections, this gallery should not be missed. Its proximity to the Haystack school and the beautiful shorelines, forests, and communities of Deer Isle, Stonington, and Castine make it a fantastic destination as you explore Maine.
